ANAESTHETIC DEPARTMENT

The Anaesthetic Dept is in the Brunel Building on Level 3 Gate 38, Office 1.
 

The clinical corridor has 3 zones or ‘towers’:

• Green - the end with the revolving doors

• Blue - the middle zone

• Pink - the Emergency Dept end.

The Anaesthetic Dept is in the blue zone, at the end nearest the pink zone, on Level 3. There are several offices housing the various specialties - the Anaesthetic Dept is the one nearest theatres, with plastics and urology residing in the adjacent two offices.

To phone the Anaesthetic Dept from outside the number is 0117 414 5114, or ext 45114 internally.

The main switchboard is on 0117 4143999.

The office has computers reserved for trainees (back row, left-hand side) and some cupboards for your belongings, but space is limited. These are at the back of the office on the left-hand side. There are lockers (shared) in theatres changing rooms for which the secretaries are the gatekeepers and require a £20 deposit.
 

There is a coffee room in the office (well supplied with biscuits) all funded by the consultants.

There is a department kitchen off the corridor with fridge, microwave and a range of decent coffee machines.
