Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) offers an alternative pathway to the Specialist Register to those who have not followed the traditional training programme via a National Training Number. Demonstration of equivalence to a CCT programme is required for completion of CESR.

As such, this group of residents should be considered equivalent to those with an NTN, in terms of access to learning opportunities.

CESR residents will NOT be assessed by the School's ARCP process but must instead undertake annual appraisal as per Trust protocol.
