Sickness

Bleep 9030 via Switch if you are unwell – this will be carried by the 3rd on trainee out of hours, and the consultant coordinator from 8am. Please follow this up with an email to the secretaries or phone the anaesthetic department on 0117 414 5114. If you are ill at the weekend then contact the o/c Consultant as well as other members of the team.

If you are away from work for less than 7 continuous days, a Sickness Self Certification Form needs to be filled in. You will be given one of these on your return. For any period over 7 continuous days, you will need to obtain a Sickness Certificate from your GP and either send it to the secretaries or get someone to deliver it.

Other Issues

We are aware that problems spring up from time to time. Please don’t struggle on alone. Your educational supervisor, College Tutors and rota writers (probably best approached in that order) are all good sources of support and we can treat any issues in confidence.

 

Our excellent secretaries are a good resource for simple (and sometimes complex!) administrative concerns.
