Open cases take place in theatre 8, whilst the hybrid theatre undertakes everything from LA/RA angioplasty to complex EVAR. Opportunities include:

Foot debridements under ankle or pop sciatic block

Leg amputations under spinal/GA with pop sciatic block +/- catheter +/- femoral

Carotid endarterectomy - best list is Mahesh Pai who operates almost exclusively on awake patients under cervical plexus blokc

IR angioplasty (hybrid theatre) performed awake under popliteal sciatic block
